To bring to a close the week of Cockermouth Georgian Festival a market was held on Saturday 29th April along with entertainment and Georgian costumes.
Fun was brought to the occasion by some performers of street theatre.
These comedy jugglers had great patter and entertained a large crowd with an amusing act that finished with a feat of escapology.
The Cumberland Morris men performed several traditional dances accompanied by a fiddle and squeezebox.
There is nothing like seeing a magician performing just a few feet away to be reminded how much better performances can be live rather than on television. With no camera tricks he performed this box trick with a girl from the crowd and many other tricks close up to confound the audience.
The Jennings Brewery dray took visitors on a trip around the town and this surreal red squirrel campaigned to save his species.
The afternoon finished with a parade around town lead by the militia and followed by all the entertainers and people in Georgian costumes as they headed over the river to the sedan chair races.
