Scale Force waterfall is easily accessible but as it is situated in very steep gully between Ling Comb and Gale Fell it is difficult to see all of the main drop. A steep path ascends to the top up one side. Although Scale beck feeds into Crummock Water the fall is only a moderate walk from Buttermere village.
