Whitehaven Maritime Festival 1999
Live music was a strong feature of the festival
with several venues around the harbour and performers to suit all tastes. These included
jazz bands, choirs, folk, rock, and traditional groups plus dancers. Both BBC Radio
Cumbria and CFM had OB stages featuring live acts as well as pop records. Almost thirty
acts kept a huge audience entertained throughout the weekend.
