Addison Street

Previously know more appropriately as Addison's Alley this narrow road cuts through to Church Street from New Street. It is named after another local merchant Thomas Addison who owned land in Whitehaven and was at one time a partner of Sir John Lowther in a grindstone quarry at Hensingham.
